In office whitening is an one step process that takes about one and half hour in our office to get an immediate result. Zoom in-office tooth whitening procedure uses the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp to activate and accelerate the bleaching process. The Zoom professional whitening can whiten your teeth for as much as 5 shades in just one short treatment.
The other method is Zoom take-home whitening where we make custom bleaching trays for you, so you can whiten your teeth any time that is convenient for you. The process takes around 2 weeks and involves two appointments. During the first appointment, impressions or molds are made to fabricate the bleaching trays. In the second appointment, the patient tries on bleaching trays and we will show you how to wear them at home with the special whitening solution.
Best of all, as part of your initial whitening treatment, we offer our regular patients additional whitening gel at cost – for life! Sensitivity during treatment may occur in some people, this is temporary. It normally goes away within 1-3 days after the treatment and the sensitivity level returns to the state prior to starting the whitening process. We will customize your treatment to minimize any sensitivity and provide home care instructions.
We don’t recommend whitening for children under 16 years of age, pregnant woman, patients with very sensitive teeth or patient who has a lot veneers or fillings on their front teeth. Also, it is important to remember that whitening treatment may not be as effective for some people as it is for others.
